Davido and Wizkid no doubt, make a lot of money from both their music, endorsement deals as well as other added bonuses. In fact, they may be the richest and most influential musicians in Nigeria.
Notwithstanding, according to forbes, the two Nigerian singers and song writers are ranked in fourth and fifth places respectively. Apparently, the American business magazine which is published only eight times a year, ranks Wizkid at fifth place with a net worth of $30 Million where as Davido is in fourth place with $40 Million.

Although Nigerian musicians occupy the rest of the positions in the Forbes list of the top 10 musicians in Africa, the top 3 however, are made up of Senegalese singers and a South African. They include:

The name Nkosinathi Innocent Sizwe Maphumulo or even the stage name Black Coffee may not be well known in West Africa. However, Black Coffee is the king of music in the South. He is a DJ, record producer and songwriter.

In fact, the South African DJ has his name in the Guinness World Book of Records, for longest-ever DJ set when he played for 60 hours nonstop. Meanwhile, according to Forbes, the 45 year old, who began his career back in 1995 is ranked at 3rd place with a net worth $60 million. He also owns quite a number of exotic cars.

Aliaume Damala Badera Akon is a Senegalese-American singer who is widely known across many continents. In fact, he owns two music labels, which are among the biggest globally, with the likes of T-Pain and Lady Gaga signed under it.

In fact, he has been nominated severally for the grammy awards and has bagged many other awards over the years. Apart from being a singer, Akon also is also an entrepreneur and actor. According to forbes, he is the second richest musician in Africa with a net worth of $80 Million.

Youssou Madjiguene Ndour is a Senegalese singer, whose wealth is sourced from diverse sectors. Apparently, he is also a composer, occasional actor, businessman and politician.

Youssou started his music career when he was just 12 years old and has since become recognized as the most famous singer alive in Senegal. Now 62, the Senegalese singer is the most richest singer in Africa, according to forbes. He owns the biggest media house in Senegal with radio and TV stations, and has vast investments in real estate. He is worth over $145 million.
