The Future Awards Africa are a set of awards given by The Future Project, a social enterprise communications firm affiliated to Red Africa. The awards are intended to celebrate young people between the ages of 18 and 31, who have made outstanding achievement in the year under consideration.

There were many people nominated for the awards, but only few people won in their respective category. Below are 4 prominent Nigerians who had an exception year in 2021, and the category in which they won.

1. Tayo Aina.

Tayo is a lagos based filmmaker and photographer who creates contents around the world. He joined YouTube on the 5th of April 2015, accumulating up to 285,000 subscribers as of October 2021. He won the Future Awards Africa for the category of content creation, beating the likes of Taooma and Mr funny.

2. Temilade ‘Tems’ Openiyi.

Tems is a beautiful Nigerian actress, she had a great year in 2021. She made waves in the music industry, earning two US top 40 entries on the Billboard Hot 100. The singer is just 26 years of age, based in Lagos. Temilade has nice vocals to keep us off our feet, she is signed to RCA label. She won the Future Awards Africa For the music category, beating Ckay, Omah lay, Joeboy, and Ayra starr.

3. Bimbo Ademoye.

Bimbo is a beautiful Nigerian actress, she was nominated for the best actress in a comedy series at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards in 2018. Winning the Future Awards Africa for Acting is a milestone for her, showing that her years of hard-work paid off. She starred in movies such as Sugar Rush, Looking for Baami, Dear Affy. She won in this category beating the likes of Nengi Adoki, Abayomi Alvin, Maryam Yahhaya.

4. Oyinkansola ‘Foza’ Fawehinmi.

This beautiful woman is a Nigerian visionary entertainment business leader with a solid legal background. She has an impactful 7+ years of practical experience which span from entertainment law, business law, corporate law, among others. Oyinkansola is the founding partner at Technological partners, a boutique entertainment law firm located in Lagos.
